Job summary

Goodwill of Greater Washington is seeking a capable retail leadership professional to oversee Donation Express operations, lead a team, and deliver exceptional donor service while supporting community impact. This role manages brick-and-mortar and mobile donation sites, ensures safety, and drives operational excellence.

You will collaborate with management, hire and train staff, and model Goodwill's commitment to community growth and inclusion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus 6 months supervisory experience or TRAc program.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to read and comprehend internal store operation documents.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, kneel, bend and climb for up to 7 hours per 8-hour shift; lift 40–50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Donation Express Manager in operations for brick-and-mortar and/or Mobile Donation Express sites.
• Communicates professionally via e-mail, orally, and in writing.
• Monitors and ensures a smooth donation process at a brick-and-mortar and/or Mobile Donation Express site.
• Greet donors and safely unload donations from vehicles; complete donor receipts; sort and process donated items.
• Enforces Donation Express safety and security procedures.
• Assists in settling complaints.
• Provides input for associate interviews and performance evaluations.
• Works weekends and holidays as required to support the needs of the business.
