Job summary

Goodwill of the Greater Washington is seeking a leadership-level supervisor for Donation Express operations in Arlington, VA. You will oversee brick-and-mortar and mobile donation sites, ensure smooth donor processing, and provide exceptional customer service to donors, including receiving donations and issuing receipts.

The role requires strong supervisory capability, effective communication, and willingness to work weekends and holidays to support business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of supervisory experience and/or successful completion of the TRAc program.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Donation Express Manager in operations for brick-and-mortar and/or Mobile Donation Express sites.
• Communicates professionally via e-mail, orally, and in writing.
• Monitors and ensures a smooth donation process at a brick-and-mortar and/or Mobile Donation Express site.
• Fulfills the duties of all Donation Express staff (if needed) to provide excellent customer service to donors, greet donors and safely unloading donations from vehicles, complete donor receipts, and sorting and processing donated items into designated categories.
• Assists in and ensures the enforcement of Donation Express safety and security procedures.
• Assists in settling complaints.
• Provides input for associate interviews and performance evaluations.
• Works weekends and holidays as required to support the needs of the business.
