Job summary

Goodwill of Monocacy Valley is seeking a Donation Attendant to join the Frederick, MD store team. You will lead an excellent customer and brand experience, and promote sales while receiving donations and placing items in the correct locations in the production room or sales floor.

You will label items, ensure receipts are provided, assist with loading, follow safety rules, and help maintain organization. A forklift certification and background check are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to pass a forklift certification class.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Accept donations from customers and provide outstanding service.
• Label items and ensure receipt is offered for donors.
• Inquire about hazardous donations and direct disposal appropriately.
• Process sales tickets and signs for large items.
• Assist customers with loading/unloading to/from vehicles.
• Maintain merchandise placement and production room organization.
• Assist in loading/unloading onto trucks or trailers as needed.
• Safely operate pallet jack and walkie stacker.
• Perform daily safety inspections of equipment and follow safety rules.
• Provide floor care at retail store when needed.
• Cross-train in other store positions as needed.
• Maintain regular in-person attendance.
