Job summary

Goodwill of Monocacy Valley in Hampstead, MD is seeking a store team member to lead an excellent customer and brand experience, process donations, and promote sales for the organization. You will receive donations, label items, and ensure receipts are provided to donors, while following safety guidelines.

The role requires forklift operation capability, ability to speak/read English, and at least 18 years old, with a comprehensive benefits package and starting pay of $15.15 per hour.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to pass a forklift certification class.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.

Responsibilities

• Accepts all donations from customers, providing outstanding customer service.
• Label gaylords correctly and ensure receipts are offered to each donor.
• Inquires about hazardous donations and directs proper disposal.
• Write up sales tickets and signs for furniture and large items.
• Assist customers with loading/unloading items to/from vehicles.
• Maintain merchandise placement and production room organization per standards.
• Cross train in other store positions as needed.
• Maintain regular in-person attendance.
• Follow safety rules and use required equipment.
• Provide floor care at retail store as needed.
