Job summary

Network for Hope (NFH) seeks a Donation Support Services Evaluation Coordinator to assess potential donors and coordinate with hospital staff and tissue teams. The DSSEC ensures accurate information, maintains compliance, and supports the donation process across internal and external partners.

This role requires at least a high school diploma, 2+ years in an OPO or tissue setting, and familiarity with EMR systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; associates degree or related certification preferred.
• Two+ years of experience in an OPO or tissue processing and distribution.
• Excellent typing and data entry skills; ability to multi-task.
• Experience using EMR and knowledge of healthcare terminology.
• Licensure/certification such as CTBS, Medical Assistant, or LPN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Back-up DSS staff to obtain and document donor information for referrals.
• Ensure referral information is communicated to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with external partners and follow up.
• Determine final tissue donor suitability.
• Provide clinical information to the tissue team or on-call Administrator.
• Be available for scheduled shifts.
• Provide ongoing education and training on donor evaluation procedures.
• Assist in development and updating of SOPs for donor evaluations.
• Mentor and support less experienced team members.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives to improve the donation evaluation process.
