Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a Donation Door Lead to oversee the daily operations of the donation door area and support donation intake, sorting, and processing through Kaizen guidelines. This role leads Donation Door Attendants, ensures safety and labeling standards, and helps maintain a clean, organized donation area while delivering outstanding donor and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Retail and/or stock handling experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the donation door area and assist Donation Door Attendants with receiving, recording, sorting, and processing donations according to Kaizen system and all RAW/Salvage sorting and labeling guidelines.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other equipment to load and unload trucks, organize materials, stack and unstack materials safely, and complete required inspections.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and debris-free donation area inside and outside the facility.
• Sort and place pulls, salvage, and recyclable commodities into designated containers, hoppers, Gaylords, totes, or other locations.
• Greet donors and customers with a friendly demeanor, assist with unloading donations, record donated items, and provide donation receipts.
• Exercise sound judgment when determining whether donations can be accepted and communicate refusals with tact.
• Thank donors for their contributions and maintain courteous interactions.
• Follow all company policies and complete all required training programs.
