Job summary

Goodwill-Industries-of-SAN-Joaquin seeks a Donation Attendant to welcome donors, process donations, and maintain accurate records. You will sort, stack, and move materials, load and unload trailers, and ensure compliant handling of E-waste and other items according to policy.

A high emphasis on safety, customer service, and efficient processing is required. No prior experience is required, but six months of customer service or material handling is desirable.

Qualifications

• Education aligns with elementary level requirement.
• Experience not required, but six months customer service and/or six months material handling is desirable.
• Ability to interact courteously with the public and work with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists donors in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Accepts or rejects donations based on condition and policy.
• Records donor counts and enters data electronically.
• Handles donated materials safely to maximize value.
• Sorts and moves donations to proper staging areas and scans items.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area and follows safety protocols.
• Performs additional processing and janitorial duties as assigned.
