Job summary

Goodwill Central Coast is seeking an associate to manage donation intake at the Capitola store. You will greet donors, determine item acceptance, issue receipts, and record donations while keeping the area neat and organized.

You may assist with material handling and processing duties, including offloading, sorting textiles, and preparing items for sale. No prior experience required; on‑the‑job training provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in basic English and follow store procedures.
• Spanish language skills are preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn donation processing and material handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain donation area to be neat, clean and organized.
• Greet donors and explain acceptance/rejection of items.
• Record donations on daily ledger and issue receipts when appropriate.
• Sort and stack donations into designated containers for processing.
