Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, Inc. is seeking a Donation Express Attendant in Fairview, TN to ensure a smooth daily flow of donations at the Donation Express Centers.

You will greet donors, provide receipts, and unload donations with hospitality while safeguarding items and maintaining a clean, organized space. This role requires physical ability to lift and move heavy items, reliable attendance, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles and hospitality.
• Ability to lift and carry over 50 lbs and push/pull heavy loads.
• Ability to read, write and perform simple addition for paperwork.
• Professional and neat appearance with strong interpersonal skills.
• Must work independently with minimal supervision and meet attendance needs.
• Must provide own transportation to assigned donation centers.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit hospitality and high level of customer service to donors, provide receipts, and greet donors promptly.
• Open and close the donation site on schedule and maintain a clean, safe area.
• Sort, secure, and correctly handle donations; decline non-acceptable items per policy.
• Record donations and assist with daily donation summaries.
• Communicate activity to supervisors and participate in mandatory DEC meetings.
• Support transportation staff with sweeps and trailer exchanges when applicable.
• Share Goodwill’s mission with donors and distribute informational materials.
