Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill is seeking a friendly Retail Donation Attendant for our Granite City store. You will greet donors, assist with drop-offs, and ensure donations are handled with care while delivering excellent customer service.

The role is hourly, full-time with a monthly bonus up to $250 and benefits for eligible employees. No degree required; strong teamwork, basic math, and organizational skills help you succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• No degree is required; high school diploma preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, donors, and management.
• Must be organized and able to interact with a diverse population.
• Math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer service during donor interactions and donation drop-offs.
• Handle donations with care and respect, and issue tax receipts when applicable.
• Sort donated and purchased goods into categories (sales floor, online, etc.).
• Notify management of hazardous or inappropriate items.
• Maintain store standards, cleanliness, and organization throughout the shift.
• Keep aisles clear, stock shelves, and rotate merchandise as needed.
• Uphold safety practices and report incidents; work cross-functionally with teams.
• Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with dress code.
• Safeguard assets and report any theft or loss.
• Participate in flexible schedules and team initiatives.
