Job summary

MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries in Washington is seeking a Retail Donation Attendant to join our store team. The role is hourly, part-time, with an hourly rate of $15.00 and a bonus pay up to $250 per month, supporting our mission, “Changing Lives Through the Power of Work!”.

You will deliver friendly customer service, sort donations, help donors, and maintain store cleanliness while adhering to safety and policy standards.

Qualifications

• No degree required; HS diploma preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and able to interact with a diverse work population.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer service interactions, including greetings, assisting donors with donations, and providing donation receipts.
• Handle donations with care and respect.
• Sort donated and purchased goods into categories (sales floor, seasonal, online, outlet, trash).
• Notify management of hazardous, valuable, or inappropriate merchandise.
• Maintain high quality and quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
• Stock, straighten, rotate, and maintain store area cleanliness.
• Uphold store cleanliness by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with teammates and leadership; work cross-functionally.
• Follow safe work practices and keep aisles and walkways debris-free.
• Maintain professional appearance per dress code.
• Safeguard assets and report incidents of theft or unauthorized possession.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
