Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking a Retail Donation Attendant for Granite City Store - Nameoki. The role is hourly full-time with an hourly rate of $15.50 and potential monthly bonus up to $250.

The position focuses on donor interaction, donation handling, and maintaining store cleanliness and organization. Primary responsibilities include greeting donors, sorting donations, ensuring safety, and upholding professional standards.

Qualifications

• No degree required. High School Diploma/GED Preferred.
• Must communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
• Necessary math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer service interactions, including greetings, assisting donors with donation drop-off, and offering thanks and any donation incentive and tax receipt.
• Handles all donations with care and respect.
• Sorts donated goods and purchased goods into categories: sales floor, seasonal, online sales, outlet, and trash, according to guidelines.
• Notifies management of hazardous, valuable, or inappropriate merchandise/materials being donated.
• Maintains high quality and high quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
• Stocks straighten, rotate, and maintain the cleanliness of the store area.
• Upholds store cleanliness standards by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
• Establishes professional relationships with team members and leadership and works cross-functionally to improve communication.
• Utilizes safe work practices and keeps aisles debris-free.
• Maintain a professional appearance per dress code.
• Safeguards agency assets from harm, reports theft.
• Adhere to policies, retail procedures, safety requirements.
• All other duties as assigned.
