Job summary

MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries in Fenton is seeking an energetic Retail Donation Attendant to support the store's mission and daily operations. The role offers an hourly rate of $15.50 for part-time work, with flexible schedules and a monthly bonus potential of up to $250 as you help donors and customers.

The ideal candidate will provide friendly service, sort and manage donations, maintain store cleanliness, and work with teammates to uphold safety and security.

Qualifications

• No degree is required; HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and able to interact with a diverse workforce.
• Basic math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer service interactions, including greetings, assisting donors with their donation drop off, and offering thanks and any donation incentive and tax receipt.
• Sort donated and purchased goods into categories: sales floor, seasonal, online, outlet, and trash per guidelines.
• Notify management of hazardous, valuable, or inappropriate merchandise/materials being donated.
• Maintain high quality and quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
• Uphold store cleanliness standards by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with team members and leadership.
• Safeguards agency assets from harm, reports incidents of theft or unauthorized possession.
