The Salvation Army Kailua Thrift Store is hiring a Donation Attendant to help manage received items, assist donors, and maintain accurate records. You will support the donation process from intake to loading for transport, ensuring cleanliness and security around the donation trailer and area.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be required including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow employees, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and cleaning up the area in and around the Donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Assisting the donor in the receipt of donated items from the donor and provide receipt.
• Maintaining all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
• Separating and sorting all donated material into proper containers, and properly stack material as instructed by the Supervisor.
• Assisting TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as necessary.
• Informing the supervisor of needed items prior to running out (e.g., brooms, receipts, totes, carts).
• Securing and locking Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift.
