The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a Donation Attendant for our Kailua Thrift Store to support the Adult Rehabilitation Program and ensure a positive donor experience. Responsibilities include maintaining the donation area, assisting donors, and handling receipts and records with accuracy.

This full-time position offers benefits such as health coverage, retirement plans, and employee discounts, with stores operating seven days a week and flexible scheduling to ensure coverage.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Criminal background check and sex offender registry required.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Effective communication with management, staff, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and cleaning the donation trailer/pod area at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Assisting the donor in receipt of donated items and providing receipts.
• Maintaining all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
• Separating and sorting all donated material into proper containers and stacking as instructed by Supervisor.
• Assisting TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as necessary.
• Informing the supervisor of needed items prior to running out (e.g., brooms, receipts, totes, carts).
• Securing and locking Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift.
