Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory Kailua Thrift Store is seeking a Donation Attendant to help maintain the donation area and assist donors with receipts. This role supports the Adult Rehabilitation Program by keeping the workspace clean, organized, and welcoming for donors and shoppers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must pass background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow employees, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and cleaning up the Donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Assisting the donor in the receipt of donated items from the donor and provide receipt.
• Maintaining all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
• Separating and sorting donated material into proper containers and stacking as instructed.
• Assisting TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as necessary.
• Informing the supervisor of needed items prior to running out.
• Securing and locking Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift.
