Job summary

The Salvation Army Kailua Thrift Store is hiring a donation attendant to support daily donation processing and customer flow. You will maintain the donation area, assist donors with receipt issuance, and help load donations onto trucks as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must pass a background check (Criminal History & Sex Offender Registry).
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow employees, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean the donation trailer/pod area at the start and end of each shift.
• Assist donors in receipt of donated items and provide receipts.
• Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
• Sort donated materials into proper containers and stack items as directed by Supervisor.
• Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as needed.
• Inform supervisor of needed items (e.g., brooms, receipts, totes, carts).
• Secure and lock Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift.
