Job summary

Brex is seeking a Banking Operations Analyst for the Domestic Payments team in New York City. This hybrid role requires in-office days plus remote flexibility. You will handle the US payment rails (ACH, checks, wires, stablecoin), investigate returns, and keep funds moving accurately while collaborating with multiple functions.

You’ll use data and AI tools to improve monitoring, draft SOPs, and support new payment flows. Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in banking, fintech, payments, or operations at a fintech, broker-dealer, or bank.
• Exposure to payments, returns, reconciliations, or settlements.
• Strong control discipline: follows SOPs and maintains audit-ready docs.
• Clear communicator with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Work the domestic payments queue across ACH, checks, domestic wires and stablecoin.
• Resolve cases in Salesforce with clear, customer-safe explanations.
• Monitor ACH and wire returns and interpret return codes.
• Elevate trends with context and urgency to prevent incidents.
• Collaborate with external banking partners to speed resolutions.
• Maintain Salesforce routing and provide documentation and onboarding support.
• Leverage data and AI to investigate cases, build monitoring, and automate repeats.
• Identify process gaps and bring requirements to Engineering and Product.
• Work with CX, Accounting, Compliance, and other teams on new flows.
