Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Network Engineer to support DISA DGOC operations at Scott AFB, IL. The role focuses on network operations, circuit analysis, and incident management to ensure high availability for DoD networks.

Qualified candidates hold DoD 8570 IAT Level 2, BS degree with 2-4 years experience (or MS with less), and an active DoD Secret clearance. The position requires 24x7 shift work and familiarity with transport and IP topologies.

Qualifications

• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification required.
• BS degree and 2-4 years relevant experience (or MS with <2 years).
• Must be able to work in a 24x7 shift environment.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Knowledge of Transport and IP network topologies.

Responsibilities

• Execute network operations including configuration and analysis of circuits across optical/EO multiplexers, TDM, routers, and switches.
• Perform real-time circuit redesign (alternate routing) to restore connectivity during outages.
• Coordinate with customers and other NOCs to maximize network availability and minimize mission impact.
• Monitor network alarms using platform-specific management tools.
• Document outages, degradations, isolations, escalations, and resolutions in incident management systems.
