Job summary

Leidos seeks a Network Engineer to support the DISA DGOC at Scott AFB, IL. You will manage critical network infrastructure and ensure mission-critical connectivity around the clock.

Leidos operates in a fast-paced defense environment requiring DoD Secret clearance, IAT Level 2, and a BS degree with relevant experience. You will work with optical, IP, and transport networks across multiple vendors.

Qualifications

• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification is required before start date.
• Bachelor's degree and 2–4 years of relevant experience or a Master’s with less than 2 years.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 shift environment.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance.
• Knowledge of Transport and IP network topologies.

Responsibilities

• Execute network operations, configuring circuits across optical and packet gear.
• Perform real-time circuit redesign to restore connectivity during outages.
• Collaborate with customers and other NOCs to maximize network availability.
• Proactively monitor network alarms via management tools.
• Document outages, degradations, isolations, escalations, and resolutions.
• Assess and propose fixes using routers, switches, crypto devices, DWDM, and SONET/SDH.
