Job summary

RTX is seeking a Systems Administrator for a US-based role supporting Windows server management, storage and file services, access control, and data backup. The position requires DoD clearance eligibility and collaboration with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.

The candidate must be able to obtain DoD 8140/8570 certification within 6 months and may handle after-hours work and occasional weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Experience using Active Directory, VMware vCenter, vSphere, VDI (Horizon), or ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
• Experience with Windows deployment, administration, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with data RAID, data backup uses and technologies.
• Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
• Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements within 6 months of start date.
• This position has the potential to work off hours and weekends.
