Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ seeks a Senior Principal FPGA Design Engineer to lead FPGA architecture, part selection and DSP/EO processing for weapon systems. You will translate system requirements into FPGA implementations, develop in VHDL/Verilog, verify with directed and constrained tests, and own documentation from requirements to release.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with extensive FPGA/Electronics experience.
• Experience in FPGA design and verification across multiple vendors.
• Strong knowledge of VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA-based architecture and design for multiple products.
• Translate system requirements into FPGA designs and CONOPS.
• Develop, verify, and document FPGA code and test plans.
• Collaborate with HW, systems, and software teams; mentor junior engineers.
• Perform design reviews and support customer engagements.
