Job summary

Empower AI delivers government-focused AI solutions and currently seeks an Asset Management Technician to support DoD programs. You will maintain accountability of Government Furnished Property (GFP), Contractor Acquired Property (CAP), and IT assets throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with DoD regulations and contract requirements.

You will perform inventories, generate reports, and coordinate with logistics, security, procurement, and IT teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years DoD property accountability, logistics, or IT asset management.
• Knowledge of DoD property regs: DoDI 5000.64, DoDM 4140.01, DFARS 245.
• Experience with GFP/CAP tracking and property documentation.
• Familiarity with IT hardware, imaging, and basic troubleshooting.
• Experience using asset management systems: DPAS, PIEE GFP Module, ServiceNow, Remedy, Lansweeper.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to 40 lbs).
• Clear communication with government customers and teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance (if required).

Responsibilities

• Maintain accountability of DoD property and IT assets including laptops, desktops, servers, network equipment, and mobile devices.
• Ensure compliance with DoD property regulations and contract requirements.
• Manage asset lifecycle activities: receipt, tagging, imaging, deployment, transfer, maintenance, storage, and disposition.
• Perform physical inventories and reconcile discrepancies with property records.
• Maintain records in government-approved systems (DPAS, PIEE GFP Module, ITAM/ITSM).
• Prepare hand receipts, custody receipts, transfer forms, and LDD reports.
• Support audits and inspections, including DCMA property reviews.
• Coordinate with procurement to verify deliveries and tagging of new assets.
• Assist with user onboarding/offboarding and asset turn-in.
• Generate reports on asset status and lifecycle planning.
• Maintain secure storage areas and proper handling of sensitive equipment.
