Job summary

KBR is seeking an experienced Acquisition Program Manager to join an AFRL Autonomous Air Refueling program, focusing on cost, schedule, and performance. You will serve as a SME in acquisition management, supporting the transition of advanced aircraft systems from AFRL to a DoD Program Office.

Responsibilities include leading acquisition processes, developing strategies, and coordinating with engineering, logistics, and finance to meet objectives, while ensuring compliance and delivering status

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in acquisition management within the DoD or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of DoD acquisition policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Proven track record of managing complex acquisition programs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage acquisition processes for the program, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) policies and regulations with the focus being technology transition
• Develop and maintain acquisition strategies, plans, and documentation
• Experience developing statements of work, CDRL packages and Data Rights/IP
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, logistics, and finance, to ensure program objectives are met
• Provide expert advice on acquisition matters, including risk management, cost estimation, and contract negotiations
• Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions as necessary
• Prepare and present program status reports to senior leadership and stakeholders
• Lead the development and execution of technology transition plans
