PPSwork in Ohio is seeking a dependable Document Scanning Specialist for a temporary project to convert paper documents into organized electronic files, ensuring accuracy and completeness of scans.

The role requires operating scanners and office equipment, reviewing for quality, maintaining confidentiality, and meeting daily goals. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with a pay rate of $16.00/hour on first shift.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience with document scanning, data entry, records management, clerical work, or admin support preferred.
  • Basic computer skills including navigating files, folders, email, and document-management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify missing/duplicate pages and image issues.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills and ability to perform repetitive work accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Scan historical and other paper documents into electronic files.
  • Review scanned documents for completeness, clarity, orientation, and image quality.
  • Identify missing or duplicate pages and other scanning issues.
  • Name, save, organize, and upload electronic files per procedures.
  • Follow written scanning processes and work instructions consistently.
  • Operate scanners, printers, copiers, and other office equipment.
  • Safely handle and organize large volumes of paper documents.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Meet daily or weekly scanning goals and deadlines.
  • Work independently and ask questions when instructions are unclear.
  • Communicate with supervisors and report problems promptly.

Document Scanning Specialist – Temporary
1st Shift | $16.00/hour

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Document Scanning Specialist to assist with a temporary historical document scanning project. This position will be responsible for converting paper documents into organized electronic files while ensuring each document is scanned accurately and completely.

Pay Rate: $16.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

What You’ll Do
  • Scan historical and other paper documents into electronic files.
  • Review scanned documents for completeness, clarity, proper orientation, and image quality.
  • Identify missing or duplicate pages and other scanning issues.
  • Accurately name, save, organize, and upload electronic files according to established procedures.
  • Follow written scanning processes and work instructions consistently.
  • Operate scanners, printers, copiers, and other office equipment.
  • Safely handle and organize large volumes of paper documents.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling customer or other sensitive information.
  • Meet established daily or weekly scanning goals and deadlines.
  • Work independently while asking questions when instructions are unclear.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and report problems promptly.
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience with document scanning, data entry, records management, clerical work, or administrative support preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including navigating files, folders, email, and document-management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify missing pages, duplicate pages, poor image quality, incorrect orientation, or incomplete scans.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to perform repetitive work while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, and lift or move boxes of documents as required.
  • Willingness and ability to learn company-specific scanning and document-retention procedures.
  • Ability to pass any required background, confidentiality, or security screening.
