HDR is currently seeking a Document Control Specialist to assist in the management of the key project controls and commercial matters on Resources Business Group projects in the South Atlantic area.

Who You Are

You are a professional who understands the process of administering document controls for large projects and programs. You have the emotional intelligence to build trusting relationships and close partnerships with your Project Controls team and Program/Project Managers, allowing them to do what they do best, serving the client and delivering a pro-gram. You are comfortable developing and maintaining procedures that help streamline document control matters such as development of Document Controls Plans, setting up key notice requirements, developing file naming conventions and email protocols.

Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Document Control Specialist, we’ll count on you to:

  • Maintain, organize, and update documents in electronic management systems
  • Communicates document requirements and client standards to project team
  • Performs quality assurance and quality control of engineering documents
  • Provide necessary assistance to the Project Manager on documentation
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional, self-motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented with the flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, with minimal management or oversight
  • Excellent writing and people skills
  • Ability to do low code programming (e.g. QuickBase, SharePoint Power Automate)
  • Prior private sector experience.
  • Preference will be given to local clients.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in a related field
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
