GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Dockmaster in North Carolina to serve as the primary point of contact for dock activities, ensuring safe, efficient trailer movement.

This hands-on leadership role collaborates with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams to execute daily dock tasks while modeling accountability and service excellence. Ideal candidates have warehouse/dock experience, knowledge of trailer docking, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation environment.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and use of dock tools.
• Coordinate loading/unloading dock activities.
• Manage trailer docking, release, and yard flow.
• Monitor dock conditions and escalate unsafe issues.
• Partner with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customer teams.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure dock activities follow guidelines and SWIs.
• Support 7S workplace standards for dock and yard.
• Conduct regular visual inspections to identify risks and delays.
• Use MS 365 and Google Suite to track activity and document issues.
• Provide coverage and support to site leadership and leads.
