Job summary

GXO is hiring a Yard and Dock Coordinator for the 3rd shift (Mon-Fri, 11:00pm - 7:30am). The role leads dock activities, ensures safe trailer movements, and partners with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams to maintain smooth yard flow.

The position emphasizes accountability, operational discipline, and customer service excellence as part of GXO’s scale-focused logistics solutions. Prior dock coordination experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation-related environment.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Working knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and varied terrain.
• Proven ability to follow defined processes, safety standards, and escalation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and support of dock-related equipment.
• Serve as the primary contact for all loading and unloading dock activities.
• Manage trailer docking, release, and yard flow to support daily priorities.
• Monitor dock conditions and escalate when unsafe; follow procedures.
• Collaborate with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customers.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
