Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc is seeking a dock/yard coordinator in Fairburn, GA to support loading, unloading, trailer movements, and yard flow while maintaining safety and quality standards. The role offers first or second shift options and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will collaborate with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customer teams, using Office 365 or Google Suite to document activities and communicate updates.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation environment.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong communication with daily customer-facing and cross-functional interactions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and support of hand tools and dock equipment as required.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for loading/unloading dock activities and coordinate trailer movements.
• Manage and sequence trailer docking, release, and yard flow per safety standards.
• Monitor dock conditions and stop-work when unsafe; follow escalation procedures.
• Partner with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customer teams to prioritize tasks.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure dock activities align with guidelines, safety standards, and SWIs.
• Support dock/yard organization in alignment with 7S standards.
• Conduct regular visual inspections to identify risks or delays.
• Use Office 365 and Google Suite to track activity and document issues.
• Provide coverage and operational support to site leadership as needed.
