Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Yard and Dock Coordinator for the Weekend 1st Shift. You will lead dock activities, coordinate trailer movements, and partner with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams to ensure safe, efficient yard flow.

You will monitor conditions, enforce safety standards, and uphold high levels of customer service while supporting site leadership and achieving daily operational priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation-related environment.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to follow safety standards and escalation protocols.
• Strong communication with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for loading/unloading dock activities and trailer movements.
• Coordinate dock activities to support daily operational priorities and dock flow.
• Manage trailer docking, release, and yard sequencing with safety in mind.
• Monitor dock conditions and stop-work when unsafe conditions are identified.
• Collaborate with site operations, transportation, yard services, and customer teams.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders and maintain customer service focus.
• Ensure dock activities align with process guidelines and safety standards.
• Support dock and yard organization following 7S workplace standards.
• Conduct visual inspections to identify risks and delays; document issues in tools.
• Provide coverage and operational support to site leadership and peers.
