Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Dock Supervisor at the Curtis Bay, MD service center. You will oversee daily dock operations, supervise staff, and ensure safe loading, unloading, and housekeeping across shifts.

You will use AS400, DYMS, and BLU systems to monitor freight movement while aligning with safety and DOT requirements. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• 2 years of operations experience in transportation preferred; supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of AS400, Microsoft Office, DYMS and BLU systems; DOT regulations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety of each employee daily.
• Oversee safe loading/unloading of freight and housekeeping.
• Supervise dock employees and manage shift schedules.
• Coordinate with Operations/Service Center managers to meet objectives.
• Provide feedback on productivity metrics and conduct shift meetings.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company regulations.
