Job summary

DSV is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee daily freight handling, staff supervision, and coordination of loading, unloading, and documentation. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timely delivery in a fast-paced logistics environment.

You will lead a team, optimize workflows, and liaise with customers and carriers to ensure smooth freight movements while maintaining regulatory compliance and high service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of freight operations or logistics experience with supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of freight handlers and operational staff.
• Assign tasks, provide guidance, and monitor performance to ensure efficiency.
• Coordinate the loading, unloading, and handling of freight shipments.
• Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and packaging of goods in compliance with regulations.
• Plan and prioritize freight operations to meet customer demands and deadlines.
• Monitor workflow and adjust resources to optimize efficiency.
• Liaise with customers, carriers, and stakeholders to coordinate movements and address inquiries.
• Ensure timely communication and resolution of customer concerns.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and integrity of processes.
• Conduct inspections and audits to maintain high standards of service quality.
• Enforce safety protocols and provide guidance on proper handling techniques.
• Oversee inventory control, including stock counts and reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and compliance with policies.
• Prepare operational reports, including performance metrics and incident reports.
• Maintain documentation of freight movements, bills of lading, and shipping manifests.
