Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field (advantageous certifications).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in freight operations or logistics roles, with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of freight handlers and operational staff.
• Assign tasks, provide guidance, and monitor performance to ensure efficient operations.
• Coordinate loading/unloading and handling of freight shipments.
• Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and packaging compliant with regulations.
• Plan and prioritize freight operations to meet customer demands and deadlines.
• Monitor workflow and adjust resources to optimize efficiency.
• Liaise with customers, carriers, and stakeholders to coordinate movements and address inquiries.
• Ensure timely communication and resolution of customer concerns.
• Implement quality control to ensure accuracy of freight handling.
• Conduct inspections and audits to maintain service quality.
• Enforce safety protocols and provide safety training.
• Oversee inventory control, stock management, cycle counts, reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and compliance with policies.
• Prepare operational reports with performance metrics and incident reports.
• Maintain documentation of freight movements (bills of lading, shipping manifests).
