Job summary

DSV Air & Sea Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee freight handling and day-to-day activities. You will lead a team of freight handlers, coordinate loading/unloading, and ensure accurate documentation and safe, compliant operations.

Strong leadership, English fluency, and knowledge of WMS/TMS are essential. Responsibilities include planning, resource balancing, customer liaison, and performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field; certifications in freight ops are advantageous.
• 3–5 years in freight operations or logistics with supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of freight handling processes and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with WMS and TMS systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of freight handlers and operational staff.
• Assign tasks, guide, and monitor performance for efficient operations.
• Coordinate loading, unloading, and handling of shipments.
• Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and packaging in compliance with regulations.
• Plan and prioritize freight operations to meet deadlines.
• Monitor workflow and adjust resources to optimize efficiency.
• Liaise with customers, carriers, and stakeholders to coordinate movements.
• Ensure timely communication and resolution of inquiries or issues.
• Implement quality control measures and conduct regular inspections.
• Enforce safety protocols and provide safety training.
• Oversee inventory control, stock management, and cycle counts.
• Maintain inventory records and compliance with policies.
• Prepare operational reports and performance metrics.
