Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines in Wichita, KS is seeking a reliable dock worker to load and unload freight using forklift equipment and to strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage. You will also record freight conditions as it arrives and perform pre/post-shift inspections of dock equipment.

The role requires accurate attendance, ability to work all shifts (including overtime and weekends), and compliance with safety rules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Experience in the transportation industry preferred.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Prior forklift operation or certification preferred.
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs. or more as required.
• Able to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Properly load and unload freight using equipment.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage.
• Record the condition of freight upon arrival.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of dock equipment.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Other duties as assigned in a high-volume environment.
