Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is hiring for a dock associate responsible for loading/unloading freight using a forklift or manual handling. You will strap, brace and pad items to prevent damage and ensure secure transport.

Responsibilities include accurately recording freight condition on arrival, performing pre/post shift inspections, and maintaining dependable attendance. The role requires compliance with safety rules and working across shifts, including overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED, or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Experience in transportation industry preferred.
• Forklift operation or certification preferred.
• Must be able to lift and push 70 lbs and handle heavy loads.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, or by hand.
• Strap, brace, and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record the condition of freight as it arrives at the service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of dock equipment.
• Maintain regular attendance; comply with company policies and safety rules.
