Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a dock/jockey-style worker to load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, or hand truck at our service center. You will strap and pad freight to prevent damage and record its condition on arrival. The role requires pre/post shift inspections and reliable attendance.

The position may require working all shifts, including overtime and weekends, with emphasis on safety and efficient handling in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 17+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Experience in the transportation industry preferred.
• Must be able to push/pull loaded pallets and lift ~70 lbs.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, or by hand.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record the condition of freight upon arrival.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections.
• Maintain regular attendance; comply with all policies and safety rules.
• Ability to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends.
