Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a dockworker to properly load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand. The role includes strapping, bracing and padding freight to prevent damage and accurately recording freight condition upon arrival at the service center.

Physical duties include standing, lifting and moving heavy loads; pre-/post-shift inspections of dock equipment, flexibility for overtime and weekend shifts, and adherence to all company policies and safety rules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Experience in transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record the condition of freight as it arrives at the service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock equipment.
• Ability to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends; dependable.
