Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a dock worker to load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, or by hand. You will strap and pad freight to prevent damage, and accurately record the freight condition as it arrives at the service center.

The role requires performing pre- and post-shift equipment inspections, maintaining regular attendance, and the ability to meet physical demands including lifting around 70 lbs. A pre-employment drug screen and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to push or pull a loaded pallet jack and/or hand truck with a minimum load of 70 lbs.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record the condition of freight as it arrives at the service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock equipment.
