Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Dock Supervisor to oversee daily dock operations in our Orlando service center. You will manage shifts, supervise dock staff, and ensure safe, efficient loading and unloading of freight using our proprietary systems.

You’ll communicate with associates and customers to maintain service quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate has supervisory experience, familiarity with AS400 and related freight systems, and knowledge of DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of AS400, Microsoft Office, DYMS and BLU systems.
• Knowledge of general DOT regulations and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety of employees daily.
• Oversee loading/unloading efficiency and adherence to procedures.
• Schedule dock staff and manage attendance and shift coverage.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager to meet daily/weekly targets.
