Job summary

FedEx Freight is looking for a Warehouse Associate to move freight across the dock area and assist with loading and unloading. You will operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, verify freight documentation, and secure loads inside trailers.

Daily tasks include maintaining safety, assisting customers with freight paperwork, and performing hostling duties when needed. Early morning shifts on a rotating schedule are typical.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience in warehousing, freight handling and/or forklift operations preferred.
• If hostler/yard mule duties required, experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers for loading to trailers.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack and hand truck as needed.
• Verify documentation matches freight description and secure freight inside trailers.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight and complete required reports.
• Assist customers with freight documentation and perform hostling duties if required.
