Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a warehouse associate to transport freight across dock areas and load/unload to trailers. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, verify freight details, and secure loads while following safety rules.

The role requires basic math, clear communication, and the ability to lift heavy loads. Prior dock experience is preferred; hours and duties may vary with operational needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience in warehousing, freight handling and/or forklift operations preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Move freight using forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Verify freight documentation matches description (type, weight, hazardous materials).
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws/regulations and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
