The role requires physical capability to lift heavy freight, basic math and clear communication. Hours vary by shift; pay starts at about $22.77 per hour with potential to earn more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift and move heavy freight repeatedly.
• Proficient in basic math and documentation.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight between dock and trailers using appropriate equipment.
• Verify freight documentation matches description (type, weight, hazmat).
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
