Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a dock/warehouse teammate to transport freight across the dock area to and from trailers for loading. This role requires physical endurance and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Starting wage is $22.77 per hour with a range to $26.64, plus benefits including medical/dental/vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and later eligibility for 401(k). On-site shift hours vary with operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior warehousing or forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift/carry freight up to 100 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Perform freight handling using forklift, pallet jack and hand truck.
• Verify documentation matches freight description using current systems.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
