FedEx Freight is seeking a dock/courier-style freight handler in Florida to transport freight across dock areas and load/unload trailers. The role starts at $22.92 per hour with a 1700-2200 shift.

The position involves operating forklifts and pallet jacks, verifying freight documentation, and assisting customers. Employees must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, and be able to lift heavy loads and work both independently and as part of a team.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior warehousing or freight handling experience preferred.
• Hostler/yard mule duties experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Perform freight handling using motorized and manual equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck).
• Verify documentation matches freight description (type, weight, hazards) in current system.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
