Old Dominion Freight Line in Shoreview, MN is hiring a Dockworker to support loading and unloading freight and uphold safety standards across the service center. You will work with forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling to move goods efficiently and securely.

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow DOT guidelines, and the readiness to handle shipping documents, labels, and yard systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of safe lifting and transporting freight.
• Familiar with freight forms and shipment documentation.
• Ability to operate a dock yard management system.
• Able to read shipping labels and interpret forms.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using a forklift, pallet jack, or by hand.
• Transport freight within the service center on various surfaces.
• Monitor freight locations using the dock yard management system.
• Read shipping labels and complete shipping orders and related forms.
• Hand load, rewrap, and stack freight as needed.
• Secure freight in trailers with straps and airbags.
• Ensure trailer loading quality and meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with service center staff in a fast-paced environment.
