Qualifications

• 1–2 years of direct document control experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and enterprise document systems (eDMS).
• Heavy use of Veeva QualityDocs and SharePoint.

• Clear communication to raise issues promptly.
• Able to prioritize multiple requests in a fast pace.
• Comfortable asking for clarification when needed.

We are looking for a Doc Control Specialist to join our growing team in Hercules, CA United States!

We are looking for a Project Document Specialist. This role will provide document control support to product lifecycle documentation to ensure development documents, drawings and data are complete, properly categorized and approved in compliance with data integrity principles. You will work closely with the project team to receive, assess, and process documents through the Veeva QualityDocs workflow.

• Improve project time management by processing documents through the Veeva QualityDocs workflow by receiving and assessing submissions before assigning stakeholders to review and approve.
• Improve document accuracy and completeness by reviewing documents for formatting, spelling, content requirements and metadata and working closely with project stakeholders to correct issues and identify reviewers and approvers.
• There is an opportunity to train new users to the document workflow process.
• Reduce compliance gaps by maintaining an up-to-date and organized Design History File.
• Keep deliverables on track by following up with document task owners and reporting on document lifecycle metrics.
• Take on additional tasks aligned to project needs and candidate’s developing knowledge base.

What the Candidate Brings (Top 5 required attributes, skills, and work experience):

• This role requires 1-2 years of verifiable and direct experience in a document control type function.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with enterprise Document Management Systems (eDMS).
• This role will be heavy in using Veeva QualityDocs and SharePoint.
• Exceptional focus to spot errors, proofread and ensure the principles of data integrity are met.
• Ability to promptly communicate issues or questions as they present themselves.
• Comfortable with a fast-paced environment and able to self-prioritize multiple requests with changing timelines.
• You will need to be comfortable asking for clarification or updates to documents.
