Job summary

Boyd Consulting Inc. seeks a Sign-offs and Violations Project Manager (DOB Expediter) in New York to organize documentation for sign-offs, letters of completion, and DOB NOW Build projects.

You will coordinate multiple plans, prepare for Plan Examiner appointments, and interact with the Department of Buildings and other agencies. The role requires 2+ years expediting Alt 2/3, ECB hearings experience, strong Excel and Outlook skills, and the ability to manage deadlines and deliver clear client

Qualifications

• Prefer license: CLASS 2 – Code & Zoning Representative; minimum CLASS 1 – Filing Representative.
• 2+ years sign offs experience for Alt 2/Alt 3 as Project Manager.
• 2+ years attending ECB Hearings and dismissal of violations.
• Reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of BIS, DOB NOW Build, and other DOB systems.
• Strong technical, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two to four years expediting experience.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time.
• Exceptional customer service disposition.
• Excellent computer skills, including high proficiency in Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Review, organize documentation to obtain sign offs – Letters of Completion for BIS Alteration Type 2/3 applications and DOB NOW Build Alteration Applications.
• Track, coordinate and manage multiple sign off projects and review approvals/disapprovals.
• Close out items, file reinstatement, PAA and all steps to obtain Letters of Completions.
• Schedule and prepare for Plan Examiner Appointments with DOB.
• Review DOB filings to complete necessary forms for sign offs, waivers and reinstatements.
• Complete Certificate of Corrections forms, prepare and attend ECB Hearings and dismiss violations.
• Track ECB Hearings and active dismissal of violations with city agencies.
• Conduct DOB research and coordinate with field project manager to obtain approved drawings.
• Provide clients with weekly reports and status updates via Excel spreadsheets.
• Create, communicate and execute filing/approval strategies with clients and coworkers.
• Maintain a professional demeanor with design professionals and Buildings personnel.
