Job summary

Rimkus seeks an NYC DOB Filing Representative/Expeditor to coordinate, submit, and track architectural and engineering filings with DOB NOW and eFiling. You will audit property histories, resolve violations, and lift stop-work orders to maintain project timelines.

This role interfaces with RA/PE to resolve objections and liaise with city agencies for approvals. Requires 2–5 years of NYC filing experience, a high school diploma, and strong regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience filing architectural/engineering projects in NYC five boroughs
• Minimum of 2–5 years direct filing experience and clearing violations
• Education: High School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's preferred in related field

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit Alteration (ALT), New Building (NB), and specialized applications using DOB NOW: Build and eFiling
• Research, track, and resolve NYC DOB violations, OATH/ECB summonses, DOT citations, and FDNY orders
• Prepare Certificates of Correction and attend OATH/ECB hearings when necessary
• Review DOB objections with RA/PE and submit corrected plans
• Attend appointments with DOB plan examiners and city agencies to advocate for approvals
• Secure initial work permits and track expiration dates; renewals for contractors
• Coordinate sign-offs, resolve Stop Work Orders, schedule inspections, and obtain COD/CO
