Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc is seeking a NYC-based DOB Filing Representative / Expeditor to coordinate, submit, and track architectural and engineering filings with the NYC Department of Buildings (DOB). You will ensure compliance, clear objections, and secure approvals while auditing property histories and resolving open violations.

Responsibilities include filing ALT/NB applications via DOB NOW, resolving violations and hearings, coordinating plan submissions, and liaising with city agencies

Competenze

• High school diploma required; associate/bachelor’s degree preferred in architecture, engineering, construction management, or urban planning.
• 2–5 years of NYC filing/violation clearance experience across all five boroughs.
• Strong knowledge of NYC Building Code, Zoning Resolution, and DOB regulations.

Mansioni

• Prepare, review, and submit ALT, NB, and other applications using DOB NOW: Build and eFiling.
• Research and resolve NYC DOB violations, ECB/FDNY/DOT citations, and related objections.
• Attend hearings, mitigate penalties, and coordinate payment of civil penalties.
• Review examiner objections with RA/PE and submit corrected plans quickly.
• Meet with DOB plan examiners and city agencies to advocate for approvals and dismissals.
• Secure initial work permits and track renewal dates for contractors.
• Coordinate sign-offs, close out projects, and obtain CO/Letters of Completion.
